Branded Sales Materials
New Product Launch
Situation

A provider of secondary mortgage products wanted to establish market awareness by introducing its complete product line to commercial bank customers. The client was concerned that existing materials lacked aesthetic appeal and were not well branded.

tenthirty was challenged to increase awareness by developing a branded look and new positioning that would give the various product lines a strong identity in the marketplace. Deliverables included new sales sheets and folders, a print ad series for placement in trade publications, and three trade show booths.

To ensure all marketing materials effectively communicated the benefits of the client’s many products, and were creatively cohesive across all channels, tenthirty followed a comprehensive set of steps moving forward.

The solution
A “power” positioning was developed to guide the development of
all creative materials. Copy and graphics successfully communicated three messages of “empowerment” specifically developed to resonate within the target audience.

All components were created to share a common graphic treatment – a bold look designed to stand out and get attention in trade publications (print ads), at trade shows (booth graphics), and in person (sales folder). Sales sheets were updated to have a consistent look and feel, with each other as well as with the other materials created for the new product launch.

Ad copy was created to clearly and concisely describe the features and benefits of the products within the program. Sales sheet copy was also updated for clarity of message, and consistency of format.

Visually, a bright color palette was selected specifically for the purpose of standing out in industry publications. Photos of business people were figured prominently in the design to create empathy and humanize the copy’s endorsement approach.

Results

Below is a sample of the creative work tenthirty produced in branding and launching the client’s product line. The “powerful” combination of bright colors and business photography enabled the client to stand out, visually breaking through for improved exposure across channels – while the clarity and consistency of the branded message helped establish them as a viable player in the secondary mortgage market.
